Students seeking to pursue the online Master of Education must be admitted to the Curriculum and Instructional Technology M.Ed. program. To ensure high quality graduate programs, the admission process is competitive and limited to the most highly qualified students. There are two steps in the application process, applying to the Curriculum and Instruction Department and after approval, applying to the Graduate College. To be admitted to the Curriculum and Instructional Technology M.Ed. program:
The following guidelines and instructions will assist you in preparing for application materials. Review them carefully prior to submitting your application. When applying to the Curriculum and Instruction Department, three types of information weigh most heavily in the selections decisions: academic performance (evaluated through undergraduate and graduate transcripts), letters of recommendation, and personal narratives/statements of intent. Each of these is briefly described below. Academic Performance: Letters of Recommendation: Statement of Intent: Next Cohort starts Summer 2010 period. Completed application materials for summer semester admission are due March, 2010. Completed application packets include the application form, all letters of recommendation, transcripts, and statement of intent. If the information you provide is approved, you then officially apply to the ISU Graduate Admissions Office.
